Ursidae: The Undergraduate Research Journal at the University of Northern Colorado

Aims & Scope

Mission & Campus Role

The URJ is, at the core, an outlet for undergraduate research activities. The journal is also a vehicle for teaching and places an emphasis on scholarly improvement. While the journal is refereed through a blind review process, authors may request a meeting with the editors to discuss how to improve their research and writing for future scholarly endeavors.

Vision

Research is fundamental to University education, and inclusion of undergraduates in research has long been a central element to UNC’s fulfillment of its role in undergraduate education. The URJ formalizes this interconnection between research and teaching, and it recognizes the accomplishments of students and faculty by showcasing the quality research occurring across disciplines at UNC.
