Abstract

Whether you’re an on-campus student or studying remotely, UNC Libraries is here to help you through every step of the research process. Join us as Sarah Vaughn, Head of Access Services, presents on services available to you as a graduate student and/or online/distance student. She will discuss how to access articles using the library’s premier database (Summon) and how to access articles that are not readily available through the libraries. After Sarah’s presentation, Jane Monson, Digital Initiatives Librarian, will discuss how to access articles beyond Summon. You will learn how to access subject databases and searching journals directly. Lastly, Maggie Shawcross, Health Sciences Librarian, will present on RefWorks, our reference management tool. As graduate students, this tool will be helpful in storing, organizing and sharing your references/journal articles as well as formatting them into a range of styles, such as APA, MLA or Chicago.
