Artist's Biography
Juliette Black is a painter from the University of Northern Colorado. Through the use of color she expresses the emotions and sensations that are a daily part of her life living with bipolar disorder and PTSD. Acrylic painting with canvas, bisqueware, and collage helps her both reflect on herself and communicate with others. By creating Return to Pain she hopes to open the door for conversations about mental illness, and give others the confidence to talk about their experiences.
