Abstract
In the current educational landscape, open education resources provide a way to mitigate the rising costs of course materials, re-imagine traditional pedagogical approaches, and improve student retention and success. This workshop offers specific examples of how OER and open pedagogy can empower learners in a course. Explore how to locate and evaluate disciplinary OER, discuss the benefits and challenges of incorporating open content into their teaching, and learn tips for designing student-centered open pedagogy projects.
