Description
Nikaiya Lawson created this work in response to Elizabeth Catlett’s piece, My Right is A Future of Equality with other Americans, which she researched as part of an internship with UNC Archives and Special Collections. Lawson created her print as a representation of her experience living in what would be considered Catlett’s future, exploring all that had changed and all that had not changed. Lawson graduated with a bachelor’s in Studio Art and Design from UNC in 2023.
