Aims & Scope

Aims

  • Provide a platform for undergraduate and graduate students to publish scholarly work in psychology.
  • Foster academic growth, critical thinking, and professional development among student authors, reviewers, and editors.
  • Encourage diverse perspectives, research methodologies, and areas of inquiry within the field of psychology.
  • Build a supportive, peer-reviewed environment that values collaboration, inclusivity, and constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the academic community at the University of Northern Colorado (and beyond) by highlighting student voices in psychology.

Scope

  • Original research articles and proposals across all areas of psychology, including clinical, counseling, developmental, cognitive, social, health, and educational psychology.
  • Theoretical papers, literature reviews, and conceptual analyses relevant to psychological science and practice.
  • Case studies and practice-based reflections that connect psychological theory to applied contexts.
  • Interdisciplinary contributions linking psychology with related fields such as sociology, education, neuroscience, or environmental studies.
  • Submissions that engage with issues of equity, diversity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness in psychology.
  • Book reviews, commentaries, and shorter pieces that stimulate dialogue within the student psychology community.
