Since the incept ion of the art form, opera has maintained an air of exclusivity and elitism. It was originally intended to be exclusionary and solely meant for the affluent to enjoy. As time has progressed, opera singers have made it their mission to challenge that exact notion. Art has the ability to touch and move everyone in inexplicable ways, and opera is no di fferent. It is the culmination of music, drama, thrilling storytelling, and raw emotion. There is plenty of room for all to enjoy the beauty and complexity of this art form. Opera is not just for a select few, opera is for everyone.
