Abstract
Course-integrated library instruction (or one-shot instruction), can be very difficult to assess. Librarians are often not able to observe student learning over time. By introducing a short, summative assessment during the last minutes of an instruction session, librarians are able to garner information on what concepts students understand, and what concepts are still unclear. This data can be quickly analyzed and used to improve future sessions. These low-stakes, oneminute assessments require minimal effort from the students, but provide valuable information to librarians.
