Abstract

Being a first-generation graduate student does come with some difficulties as you are expected to embark on this graduate school journey without much guidance. We applaud you for your courage and hope to share with you suggestions to help you get the most of your experience here at UNC. Join Cristóbal (Chris) Garcia, Associate Director of the Office of Alumni Relations at the University of Northern Colorado, as he discusses the importance of developing a support system; advice on balancing home, work and school; and guidance on university resources to help you be successful.
