Abstract

Surveys are effective and efficient ways of collecting information for program assessment and review. Done well, surveys can provide meaningful information for program evaluation and improvement; however, many times programs conduct a survey only to find that the information is not helpful. This session provides an introduction to using surveys for program assessment and review. By the end of the session, participants will be able to describe when surveys should be used for program assessment; identify at least three campus resources for helping with survey design; and explain the process to apply for approval to conduct a survey on campus.
