Philosophy

Description

I designed and taught a short-term summer philosophy course for students from high schools within District 6, as part of an ongoing effort to share the benefits of philosophy with a wider audience. These benefits are demonstrated by quantitative research, and highlight particular benefits for underrepresented students. The course was offered free of cost, included lunch on campus, and relied upon three UNC philosophy majors who served as “teaching assistants,” and mentors. The course was a success, as measured by student feedback, and instructor and teaching assistant response.
