Description
By a Thread (I miss you) reflects on the strain that relationships have undergone due to separation and emotional struggles during the pandemic. Within one frame, a couple is depicted on separate canvases, exemplifying the space which has grown between them both physically and mentally over the course of the virus. The pair of figures clutch their pillows in replacement of each other, longing to be together despite the toll which the pandemic has taken on them. Their expressions and body language illustrate the convoluted array of feelings many have felt during this time, such as hope, exhaustion, love, and heartache. Embroidered on the chest of both figures are two red hearts -- holding on to one another by merely a thread.
