Abstract
Incorporating synchronous learning to an online course increases students’ personal engagement and allows for dynamic exploration of course material. It also provides regular opportunity for face-to-face discussion and individual guidance. In this webinar Dr. Amie Cieminski will share best practices for developing synchronous sessions. She will share her experience with building a learning community, providing space for student questions, teaching content, improving student-student interactions, and having students share their work and ideas. Time will be provided for participants to ask questions about their specific courses.
