Abstract

Come learn about open textbooks! Certified OTN presenter Jen Mayer will share context about the open education movement. Participants will have an opportunity to discover open textbooks in their field, and engage in a discussion about open educational resources (OER). Open textbooks are licensed to be freely used, edited, and distributed. Not only do they save students money, but open textbooks can provide faculty with relevant content to customize their courses.

Workshop participants are eligible to enter a drawing for a $200 stipend to review an open textbook in the Open Textbook Library.
