Abstract

This webinar is focused on the development of a critical-inclusive assessment practice to assess student learning. The presenters will discuss their approach to inclusive assessment based on Saran Stewart’s Critical-Inclusive Pedagogical Framework (CIPF), which emphasizes sharing power with students, activating student voice, and engaging in dialogue with students. Participants will be introduced to the CIPF and learn how the presenters use the Framework to guide their own practice. Through discussion participants will gain a better understanding of how critical ideals can inform classroom assessment and allow for more flexible and responsive teaching.

Presenters: Rachel Dineen and Dr. Lyda McCartin
