This two-page module helps students to identify the components of binomial probabilities as well as calculate basic scenarios based on real examples such as, "30% of children in a low-income area are diagnosed with ADHD. In a simple random sample of 80 kids from this school, what is the probability that 3 will have ADHD?  Components include but are not limited to n = number of independent trials p = probability of success for each trial X ~ b(n,p) = Notation nCx = Binomial coefficients.

This resource requires that the LMS has a SCORM engine enabled. If you are not seeing the calculator, then you will need to request this from your LMS Administrator.

A preview and description of the module is openly available at The file type for the download available from this page is .imscc and was created using Canvas LMS by Instructure. The .imscc file type may be used with other LMS systems, but formatting and other details may not translate.
