Abstract
This Canvas module introduces students to the ethical use of information through the lens of academic integrity and plagiarism avoidance. Using text, videos, graphics, and interactive knowledge checks, it covers key strategies such as citing sources, paraphrasing effectively, and using citation management tools. The module concludes with a quiz to assess learning and document student engagement. It also addresses ethical considerations surrounding generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Grammarly, and Google’s Gemini, highlighting how both plagiarism and misuse of AI can lead to academic dishonesty.
