Abstract

Open educational resources (OER) is about more than free textbooks and provide numerous benefits in addition to saving students money on course materials. During this webinar Dr. Bailie Peterson will share how her pedagogical approaches changed when she implemented OER in her Introductory to Philosophy, Moral Issues, and Formal Logic classes. She will share how students responded to her implementation of open pedagogical practices. In her experience, OER works especially well in LAC and lower level courses. Participants will discuss ideas on engaging students using open pedagogy approaches.
