Journal of Educational Research and Innovation

Aims & Scope

The Journal of Educational Research and Innovation (JERI) is a peer-reviewed, electronic, open-access publication dedicated to the discussion, sharing, and reflection of current educational practices, research, and educator preparation/development that enhances understanding of teaching and learning. JERI is EBSCO indexed.

JERI aims to stimulate dialogue about emergent pedagogical ideas and instructional innovation from diverse perspectives. The editors will consider manuscripts that align with one or more of the following topics:

  • Educational practices at the tertiary, including university, level
  • Educational research/innovations in PK-12 education or professional development
  • Early childhood, school-age, and teacher preparation, support and development
  • The state of obligatory education for teachers, students, families, school communities or school leaders
  • Multicultural understandings of teaching and learning
  • Evolving theories of teaching, learning, and/or cross-cultural studies

The three types of manuscripts JERI considers for publication:

  • Article: Research (qualitative, quantitative, and mixed), Meta-Analysis, Policy Analysis, Practitioner Reflection on Policy & Practice.
  • Book Review: Review of texts relevant to philosophies, approaches, or pragmatic practice in education published within three years of manuscript submission.
  • Voices From Near & Far (by invitation): Stories from the Field or a Practitioner, and a Program's Contributions to the Field.
